Roberto Gramigni, Maestro Pizzaiolo

I was born and raised in Piacenza, a small town in northern Italy between Milan and Bologna. It didn't take me long to realize that I had two passions: pizza and travelling around the world.
As you know, in Italy food is a big deal. So I attended a school for Maestro Pizzaiolo (expert pizza man), and in 1986 I opened my first pizzeria and pub, named "Britannia".
Even though I discovered Hawaii by chance - en route from Los Angeles to Tahiti - I immediately fell in love with it. I liked the people who live here, their relaxed attitude, and the magnificent beauty of this place. I moved to Hawaii in 2000. And since then I have been making a living with what I like most -- Pizza.
